Spring Cleaning of our lives.

GET RID OF THE JUNK HOLD YOU BACK.

This month has gone by so fast, it makes me wonder how much time anyone of us has. Today is the day we all need to simplify our lives and become a happier people, so basically we need to downsize everything in our lives. clutter in the storage areas in our home or even that storage unit that you have to pay every month. It sounds easy does it not? Well this might be the easiest task you will have to do, once you clean out that storage area or garage; you will earn a little cash, donate to the less fortunate and even have a place to park your car.

If your storage building is rented, then that is the one you start with.

go through all the boxes, bags and Totes first since they are the lightest items.

supply list:

Black garbage bags

4 new totes (for sorting)

newspaper (for glass or fragile items)

4 large cardboard boxes (For donates/sellable small items)

headphones and phone (music helps in this task)

Totes are the best since it is harder for critters to get into, but the goal is to get rid of the items that you no longer use, do not need and even to plan on using. This is were the hard part for some comes in, you have to let it go... I am not kidding. set up the cardboard boxes and mark them Sell and donate, then set up the garbage bag for the items are throwing out. do not forget to make the totes for what you are keeping, because they will sit somewhere and you will forget what is in there.

Depending on how many people are helping you (best to get the whole family involved) this project will take about a day or up to a week; due to the mass size of the storage unit. If family helps they might take back their items or want what you are giving away; that works great on how much stuff you have to moving.

Next week: Next task...cleaning out the drama in our lives.
